On February 2nd, 2012 with the retirement of owner and founder of John Biernat, Dragon Lady Comics & Paper Nostalgia closed it’s doors after 33 years in business in Toronto on Queen and later College Streets.
Less than a week later, on February 8, 2012 The Comic Book Lounge + Gallery opened — just a few doors east of the Dragon Lady location and carrying on as the local comics shop for the customers of Dragon Lady Comics and residents of the Little Italy community on College Street.
The Comic Book Lounge is unique in that, unlike other comic book stores, it shares it’s space with Guerilla Printing and has a designated space for community events where people can hold book launches, classes, gallery shows and parties. We are committed to providing excellent service, and a hassle-free environment for aficionados of every age and gender. We’re your comic book bartenders, so to speak.

Hello Comic Book Lounge and Gallery. I want to Nominate you with a Blog meme award known as The Reality Blog award. I just really find what you are doing with your store to be both interesting and excellent. I actually keep on meaning to visit you, but I never find myself in your area. But I hear that you are doing excellent things and you keep a note of them on here. That is why I want to give you this Award meme but, if you don’t think it appropriate for this Blog I understand and you can certainly delete this comment accordingly. Anyway, the link to the Award can be found here: http://wp.me/p2qfuv-sz if you are interested. I also have a few articles that you might be interested in on the rest of my own Blog as well. Take care.
