The Comic Book Lounge opened on College Street on February 8th, 2012 (days after the closing of Dragon Lady Comics).
The Lounge moved from that location on April 30, 2015 when the lease expired (we opted not to renew).
As of May 1, 2015 we are now based uptown at Eglinton and Oriole Parkway, at a location that is by appointment only and operates Wednesdays through Sundays. There is a gallery space at this location for private viewings of original comic art.
We concentrate on providing graphic novel and magazine subscription-based services for our clients, and we are still active at Toronto and area conventions such as Fan Expo Canada and the Toronto ComiCON. We also produce the annual Joe Shuster Awards with the support of many other retailers from across Canada.
In the three plus years of operation at 587A College we shared the space with other like-minded businesses such as: The Toronto Cartoonists Workshop, Guerilla Printing, The Temple of Toys and Back Space Toronto.
We carry new and recent graphic novels, books and novelty items.
Downtown pickups available at a location near College Street and University Avenue – Wednesdays through Fridays.
Oriole Parkway location available for pickups most weeknights and weekends by appointment.
We have a large inventory that is kept off-site, and items can be requested for pick-up or delivery. please contact us with your requests or to set up an account.
